Blast Heard Across the City

A powerful explosion at a petrol station in Rome’s Prenestino district injured at least 27 people, including 10 police officers and a firefighter, on Friday morning. The blast was heard across the capital just after 8 am.

Flames and Smoke Fill the Sky

Civilians and First Responders Among the Injured

Sixteen civilians, including the station manager, were injured along with first responders. Some reports put the number of injured at 28 as updates continued throughout the day.
