Prince William to Visit British Troops in Estonia
Strengthening NATO Commitments
Prince William is set to travel to Estonia from March 20, 2025, for a two-day visit to British troops stationed in the country as part of NATO operations. The visit highlights the UK’s dedication to supporting its allies and reinforcing the defense of NATO’s eastern flank.
Meeting with Estonian Leadership
During his stay, the Prince will meet with Estonian President Alar Karis. He will also explore Estonia’s advancements in renewable energy and technology and learn about the country’s response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Operation Cabrit: The UK’s Role in NATO
Britain has around 900 troops deployed in Estonia and Poland under ‘Operation Cabrit,’ its contribution to NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence. These forces work alongside French, Danish, and Estonian units to strengthen European security and deter potential threats.
Continued Engagement with Military Forces
This will be Prince William’s first visit to Estonia, but it follows a similar mission two years ago when he met British soldiers stationed in Poland. His visit continues the royal family’s longstanding tradition of engaging with the armed forces and supporting international security efforts.
