Blackwell Ultra and Upcoming Rubin Platform

At the GTC 2025 conference, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang introduced the Blackwell Ultra architecture, an enhancement over the previous Blackwell generation. The update promises improved performance and new features. Huang also provided insights into the upcoming Rubin platform, which will succeed Blackwell. The Rubin family of chips, including GPUs, CPUs, and networking components, is designed for large-scale AI training in data centers.

Project DIGITS: A Personal AI Supercomputer

Nvidia also announced Project DIGITS, a personal AI supercomputer powered by the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. This desktop system is aimed at AI researchers and developers, capable of running and fine-tuning AI models with up to 200 billion parameters. Project DIGITS is priced at $3,000 and is expected to be available in May 2025.

Market Reaction to Nvidia Announcements

Despite the significant announcements, Nvidia’s stock saw a slight decline, dropping 1.5% ahead of the conference. The company’s shares have been consolidating, with a buy point at 153.13, reflecting a cautious market response to the new developments.
