Harry Potter Studio Tour Coming to Shanghai in 2027

A new Harry Potter Studio Tour is set to open in Shanghai as part of a large-scale renovation of an existing theme park. The project will span over 53,000 square meters and is expected to launch in 2027.

Behind-the-Scenes Experience

The studio tour will offer visitors an immersive experience, showcasing behind-the-scenes aspects of the Harry Potter films. Guests will be able to explore recreated sets and iconic scenes from the beloved movie series.

Global Expansion of the Franchise

This will be the third Harry Potter Studio Tour in the world, following locations in London and Tokyo. The franchise has a strong following in China, where the films were re-released in cinemas last year.

Regulatory Approval Pending

The project is still subject to regulatory approval. If approved, it will further solidify the presence of Harry Potter-themed attractions in China, complementing the existing Wizarding World of Harry Potter section in a Beijing theme park.
