BYD Strengthens Presence in Italy with Car Parts Distribution Deal

Chinese electric automaker BYD has signed a car parts distribution agreement with Italian company Intergea. This move aligns with BYD’s strategy to expand its footprint in Europe as demand in its home market slows.
Faster Access to Spare Parts
Starting in May, Intergea’s CRF unit will distribute original BYD car parts across Italy within 48 hours. This initiative aims to eliminate concerns about the availability of spare parts for Asian vehicles, a factor that has previously deterred potential buyers.
Accelerating Global Sales
BYD is targeting a significant increase in international sales, aiming to more than double deliveries outside China to over 800,000 vehicles in 2025. This latest partnership supports that goal by enhancing after-sales service and strengthening its market position in Europe.
