Her subsequent actions supporting Trump’s false election fraud claims in 2020 and her work with the America First Policy Institute have also sparked criticism.

Lobbying Clients and Ethical Concerns

Since leaving office, Bondi has worked as a lobbyist for a range of high-profile clients, including Amazon, Uber, General Motors, and several foreign governments. Some of these companies have faced investigations by the Department of Justice under the Biden administration. Bondi has also lobbied for private prison companies, such as The GEO Group, which holds contracts with the Department of Justice, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest.

Senate Scrutiny and Confirmation Hearing

During her confirmation hearing, Senate Democrats expressed concerns about Bondi’s past decisions, including her involvement in defending Trump’s legal interests. They questioned whether she would prioritize loyalty to the Constitution over loyalty to Trump, given his past threats to use the justice system for political revenge.
