Kendrick Lamar has thrilled his fans with a brand-new album titled GNX, catching everyone off guard yet again. Known for his hits like All The Stars, Lamar continues to dominate the music scene with this unexpected release.
This exciting announcement follows the recent news that Kendrick will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show next year, a reveal that already had his loyal fans buzzing with anticipation.
The Super Bowl event is set for February 2025, and with the release of GNX, fans now have a glimpse of what the We Cry Together artist might bring to the stage at this primetime event.
The album itself is an impressive collection of 12 tracks, running for 44 minutes and 20 seconds. Opening with the atmospheric Wacced Out Murals, the album immediately immerses listeners, with Lamar’s signature style taking center stage midway through the track.
Highlights include Squabble Up, which follows the opener with dynamic energy, Reincarnated, an ode to old-school hip-hop, and Gloria, another standout on the list. Meanwhile, Man at the Garden, the fourth track, offers a refreshing blend of folk and tribal influences that showcase Lamar’s artistic versatility.
Earlier this year in September, the Backseat Freestyle rapper teased his Super Bowl appearance with a cryptic Instagram post featuring a video clip. In it, Kendrick stood before a massive U.S. flag, casually tossing footballs into the air.
The post’s caption read, “Super Bowl LIX. New Orleans. February 2025,” and Lamar personally invited fans, saying, “Meet me in New Orleans, February 9, 2025. Wear your best dress, even if you’re watching from home.”
The highly anticipated halftime show will occur at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and air live on Fox.
